For the "My Host" Alexa Skill

Zenios Solutions Ltd (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the "My Host" Alexa skill (“the Skill”) uses and protects information. It applies only to the Skill and not to our website or other services.

1. What the Skill Does

The Alexa skill allows vacation rental hosts to leave greetings and other information for their guests.

2. Information We Collect

  • X-Alexa-RequestId – unique request reference
  • X-Alexa-Timestamp – time of request
  • X-Alexa-Locale – language/region setting
  • X-Alexa-Intent – the Alexa intent triggered
  • X-Alexa-DeviceId – the ID of the Echo device
  • X-Alexa-UserId – the ID of the Alexa user
  • X-Alexa-ApiEndpoint – Amazon API endpoint used
  • X-Alexa-Interfaces – supported device interfaces

3. How We Use This Information

  • DeviceId – stored and used to identify which property a host’s Echo device is linked to.
  • UserId – stored in logs for security and debugging.
  • Other headers – used in real time to process the Alexa request.

We do not use this information to personally identify you.

4. How Long We Keep Information

  • DeviceId – kept for as long as the Echo device is linked to a property. Deleted if the device is unlinked.
  • UserId (logs) – kept for up to 90 days on a rolling basis for debugging and security.

5. Where Your Data is Stored

All data is stored securely in a database hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Data may be processed outside the UK/EU, but AWS provides safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to protect it.

6. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell or share your information with third parties. Your data is only shared with AWS (our hosting provider) for storage and processing.

7. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete your data
  • Object to how we process your data

8. Children

The Skill is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes
